Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Achla Spinning Composter a Great Buy
I am so pleased with my new Achla spinning composter. It was a fraction of the cost of the ComposTumbler that I was also considering. It was also quite simple to set up, and easy to turn, even completely full. I believe the black plastic exterior helps to heat the contents and facilitate the composting process. Although I filled it with pungent horse manure and kitchen scraps, there is little to no smell unless the lid is open. I will write back and let you know how my first batch of compost turns ... Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - metal legs packed loose in drum; damaged in shipping
My experience is similar to S. Meyer's earlier comment. Metal finish on sections of composter legs has been damaged in shipment because the pieces were banging around unprotected inside the drum. They're already beginning to rust. There was no protective covering or packing to protect them. I've contacted Amazon to get a replacement shipped.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - awesome composter
Being a composting fan I did alot of research on composting tumblers. The Achla fits into my scheme perfectly. We are in the process of renewing some very poor soil and this composter has already provided 2 loads of much needed compost for our small garden in 6 weeks...now if they could just do something about the weather......

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Used Composter Wasn't Acceptable
We were excited to receive the composter, however, the legs (packed inside the barrel) were loose because the packing material (wrap and ties) was already cut, removed and tossed back inside the barrel. This permitted them to rattle around inside. Upon examination, some of the leg pieces were worn and corroded/rusted. We did not appreciate receiving a used product, especially in this condition. The barrel did appear to be new. Upon contacting the manufacturer (Achla), they stated they could not ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Composting made easy
I bought a composting bin a number of years ago, completely oblivious to what is involved in composting. Toss stuff in and it "magically" turns to compost. Wrong! Compost has to be turned, I later learned. So the bin was emptied and has been sitting in my backyard for quite some time as it does not facilitate easily turning the compost (or turning it at all for that matter). I came across turning, tumbling, and spinning composters and selected this one. I transferred the stuff I had been tossing ... Read More
